Don’t be Ugly

This is my favourite southern saying ever.

English terms: don’t be a jerk

I’ve always loved the southern states, there is an indescribable vibe there.

I remember being at a barrel race, when a lady went off about the setting, and started talking about other people. It was quite the scene. An older southern belle, gentle leaned into the conversation and said “quit being ugly”.

Wow. Freakin wow.

That’s what class looks like.

We all have an admiration for those who retain this level of class. Yet, we don’t stop ourselves from ugly talk.

Being ugly comes down to promoting negative energy. The more you complain, whine, and stomp your feet, the more negative energy you are breeding around yourself.

We must remember that we are in the 30% ratio. Every time you get to compete at a rodeo, a futurity, or any barrel race, your part of the 30% club. Only 30% of the billions of people on earth, get to land their dream job. Whether you have 2 full time jobs, and only do this occasionally. This is still a dream worth living.

Now with that mindset, tell me you have a bad day? The ground isn’t good enough? A dollar short? A day late?

We all like to win, but unfortunately not all of us can all the time. So if you get to spend a night, weekend, or whatever working your “dream job”. Remember your part of the 30% club.

Another great southern saying is “bless your heart.” This is so versatile, bless your heart, as in you need some positive love directed at you. Or bless your heart as in, you have a kind warm soul shining through, and we can all see you trying your heart out.

The next time your at a barrel race, and things don’t go according to plan. You knock a barrel to win a lot. Remember to not breed negative vibes.

One thing I’ve learnt over time is that, your energy matters. Positivity= positivity
